相信一旦提到牛津，大家一定不陌生
畢竟有名的＂牛津大學 University of Oxford＂http://www.ox.ac.uk/
它可是英語國家中歷史最久的大學的發源地呢!
讓我們來看一下牛津小檔案：

相同的
這裡也有一座跟劍橋大學一樣的嘆息橋 Bridge of Signs, Oxford
但不同的是，它是一座連接二個學院的天橋


Radcliffe Camera　拉德克利夫拱頂建築
拉德克利夫廣場得名於英國醫生約翰·拉德克利夫，牛津畢業，成為國王的醫生，留下大筆遺產給大學和他的學院
在廣場的中心是圓形的拉德克利夫圖書館（Radcliffe Camera），建於1737–1748年，用約翰·拉德克利夫的遺產支付
它是博德利圖書館的一部分，其主樓位於廣場北側。兩館由一條地下隧道連接，有許多書籍存儲在廣場地下（能儲存60萬冊）。曾經有一條地下鐵路在兩館之間運送書籍。

廣場向西是牛津大學布雷齊諾斯學院,牛津大學的古老學院之一。向東是萬靈學院,其中只有研究員，並沒有學生，因此主要致力於研究。

在廣場的南面是聖母瑪利亞大學教堂及其高大的尖頂。它是牛津大學的官方教堂。鐘樓向公眾收費開放，登塔可欣賞牛津中心區景色。

拉德克利夫廣場被廣泛認為是牛津最美麗的，很受遊客歡迎。這裡看不到現代建築，所以用來拍攝那個時代的電影。

牛津大學基督教堂學院 Christ Church

是英國牛津大學最大的學院之一，就算如此，也只有425個大學生，以及215位研究生

它也是世界上唯一一個同時也是主教座堂的學院，基督教堂座堂是牛津教區的座堂。

基督教堂學院成立於1546年。與姊妹學院劍橋大學三一學院一樣，它傳統上被認為是所在大學最貴族化的學院。

有13位英國首相出自基督教堂學院，與牛津大學其他45個學院的總數相等，並超過劍橋大學任何一個學院，僅僅略少於劍橋大學總數（15人）。

重點是：哈利波特裡的好多場景都在裡面拍攝的喔！

What to see in Windsor, Great Park, and Windsor Castle

About Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle  温莎堡

Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor, on the outskirts of London. Windsor Castle is the largest continuously inhabited castle in the world. Members of the British Royal Family, including the present Queen have lived in Windsor for over 900 years. Windsor Castle has been the home of 39 monarchs in this period.

Windsor Castle was first built in 1066, by William the Conqueror. Windsor castle was chosen for a good reason, the point which the castle was built is a strategic position on a steep hill overlooking the River Thames.

The original castle was built from wood with earth fortifications.


 

Richmond and Richmond Park - London

Richmond park is the largest park in London, and is classed as a National Nature Reserve in the UK. Richmond Park is located in Southwest London, a few min walking distance from the town of Richmond, see below map for location.

Jorvik Viking Festival - York England

傳說中的維京人在約克，York原是英格蘭北方重鎮。
除了老城區眾所皆知的"哈利波特"電影斜角巷的拍攝現場外，最重要的就是Vikings！

一年人有二個節慶，一個是二月份的Jorvik Viking festival，另一個擇是十月底的Illuminating festival

The Jorvik Viking festival is an annual event that takes over the city of York in the month of February each year. Jorvik was the name given to the City of York by the Vikings when they colonised parts of Britain all those years ago.

The festival is great time to visit the city in Northern England, as it brings the city to life, its great for the kids too as they get to take part in a lot of Viking related learning activities.

想當初，不知是西元多少年前，羅馬人先來到這裡，設罝了布列塔尼省份的首都
之後又被安格魯人侵佔，最後落在維京人手裡，成了不列顛島維京人的首都：Jorvik

來這裡也可以參觀維京人主題館，可以現場鑄做一枚專屬的維京錢幣，只要一鎊錢喔！
如果不想買票進去，現場定時也有很多戶外表演，不少大朋友小朋友也都會一同觀賞。
從中可以體會到維京人的蠻橫粗暴，但因是群體生活，也就有著領袖旦生
種種故事化的情節，大家可以介機在現在體驗喔！

Punting in Canterbury

The historic city of Canterbury is also a Punting location, previously I had always always associated Cambridge with Punting, however during my visit to Canterbury, I discovered that punting was quite active there too.

One thing I enjoyed about the punting experience in Canterbury was the fact that it was much less crowded in comparison to the punting on the River Cam in Cambridge, and more relaxing.

On my punting adventure in Canterbury, I went for the countryside tour option, which takes you along the River Stour and the calm and pleasant country side just outside the town.

Cotswolds England - Stow on the wold

Stow-on-the-Wold is a lovely little town located in the Cotswolds region in the UK, part of the Romantic Road of Britain. Below are some pictures we took while in the town. As with all other Cotswolds towns and villages, Stow has lovely stone buildings.

以前在台灣，從沒聽過這個地方

但在一次的小旅行中，來到了這所謂羅蔓蒂克大道
美不勝收呀！

路邊標準的英式招牌呼喚著我




小鎮距離倫敦市不遠　(約二個半小時車程)




很適合weekend來這渡假喔!!
